Professional association founded to promote translation and interpreting services. Composed of over 11,000 members (translators, interpreters, agencies etc.) in more than 90 countries.
Globalization and Localization Association
The world's largest professional association for the language services sector. As part of a GALA initiative, Trans-Edit Group participated in the works of a dedicated team for the definition of the ISO EN 17100 standard.
European Language Industry Association
The purpose of the association is to represent and promote the interests of the language service industry in Europe.
The Association of Language Companies (ALC)
An American trade association representing companies that offer translation, interpreting, localization and language training services.
Created under the auspices of Confindustria Servizi Innovativi e Tecnologici from the unification of two major Italian associations, Federcentri and Imprelingue, Unilingue is by right a member of EUATC (European Union of Associations of Translation Companies), within which it is the largest association in Europe.
Federlingue is the national association of businesses operating in the language service industry and is part of Confcommercio for Italy. It brings together providers of translation, interpreting and website localization services, as well as language courses.
Assoservizi is the operational service company of Assolombarda. Assoservizi provides services and advice in several areas, the most significant of which are administrative processes and technical and managerial training. Assolombarda is the association of industrialists of the provinces of Milan, Lodi and Monza-Brianza. In terms of size and representation, it is the most important association in the entire Confindustria system.
Italy-America Chamber of Commerce West
(IACCW) is a private and independent non-profit organization for the promotion of business and commercial opportunities between Italy and the United States. IACCW is part of a large network of 81 Chambers of Commerce with offices in 55 countries, comprising more than 25,000 members. Civil Society pavilion - EXPO 2015
Along with MILAN EXPO 2015,
the Triulza Foundation manages the
Cascina Triulza complex. Inside the Exhibition Site, Cascina Triulza hosts the Civil Society exhibition pavilion, which will be a unique space reserved for the third sector, and also a place where companies, institutions and organizations can give visibility to their best practices in collaboration with civil society organizations.
AGORA – Transnational Placement Scheme for Translation Students
AGORA is a three-year project coordinated by the University of Bologna and co-funded by the European Commission in 2012 under the "University-Business Cooperation" initiative of the LLP Erasmus program. The project aims to create a strong network of universities and translation agencies designed to develop international internships for advanced students and to promote the employment of graduates.
